Batman Pirate gets pawned by developer
The
people at Eidos are even more cunning than the Joker is seems. A gamer
using a pirated copy of Arkham Asylum on his PC posts a question on the
Eidos games forum asking for help on getting Batman to fly.
Everytime he tries, Batman just falls from the sky into a cloud of poison
gas. An Eidos employee responds and tells him it's not a bug in the game
code, but a bug in the gamers moral code. It turns out that Eidos have
put in a little booby trap for the pirates, as Batman cannot fly in a
pirated game. Cheshirec_the_cat: (The Pirate)
Hi!
I've got a problem when it's time to use Batman's glide in the game. When
I hold , like it's said to jump from one platform to another,
Batman tries to open his wings again and again instead of gliding. So
he fels down in a poisoning gas. If somebody could tel me, what should
I do there.

Try buying the game.
There is no poison gas in the demo and the game has not been released
on PC yet. Keir: (Eidos,
the developer)
The problem you have encountered is a hook in the copy protection, to
catch out people who try and download cracked versions of the game for
free.
It's not a bug in the game's code, it's a bug in your moral code.
Mr Pirate is strangely silent after that!
